The current version of Kokua is 6.6.2 for Windows and Mac - Kokua 6.6.2 Release Notes and 6.5.5 for Linux - Kokua 6.5.5 Release Notes

Our primary download location is SourceForge. We also provide a secondary download location on BitBucket. The table below links to the current versions. Older versions are available from both locations however support is only available on the current version. Generally, we recommend always running the latest version.

These are the only two authorised and authentic download locations. Do not download from anywhere else unless the guidance on this page has been updated

Check out the Release Notes page to see what’s new in each version.

Kokua is a Third Party Viewer for Second Life. It is neither provided nor supported by Linden Lab

We provide three versions with increasing levels of RLV support

  • NORLV has no RLV code at all

  • RLV has switchable RLV support based on Marine Kelley’s implementation

  • FTRLV (Full-time RLV) has it permanently enabled (as is the case with Marine’s versions from 2.9.23.2 onwards)

Although we kept Opensim and 32 bit downloads available for a while after the Kokua project migrated to 64-bit and SL-only the march of progress has meant that neither are now relevant. As a small team we would welcome someone with an Opensim focus or Linux focus to join the team. Contact Chorazin Allen if that’s you!
